SPIDA® Software Unveils SPIDAmin One Touch Make Ready Workflows and Enhanced Security Features
Gahanna, OH – March 26, 2019 – SPIDA Software, the first Structure Management System for utilities and the trusted industry leader of structural analysis software, announces the newest release of their Asset Management Software, SPIDAmin. With this release, SPIDA introduces One Touch Make Ready (OTMR) workflows and enhanced security features, staying ahead of industry trends.
Recently, the FCC approved OTMR for pole attachments, which will shorten the previous multi-step timeline for communication attachments. Historically, this previous process was prone to construction delays and additional costs for the broadband provider. The new OTMR process will expedite the expansion of broadband construction by streamlining and reducing delays and costs. The responsibility to perform certain aspects of make ready engineering has shifted to the new attacher. However, the timeline that pole owners are expected to review and approve the proposed attachments has been significantly condensed, placing additional strain on already limited pole owner resources.
SPIDAmin One Touch Make Ready workflows provide the necessary framework for successful implementation of the new guidelines. SPIDAmin removes the manual and tedious process of tracking critical timelines and automates communication between pole owner and pole attachers in real-time, reducing the possibility of errors and delays. Utilities can initiate, track, and manage the business processes around their assets, while fulfilling the requirements of the new FCC pole attachment process.
In addition to introducing OTMR workflows, this release includes a robust set of enhanced security features, safeguarding client data. Single sign-on, an intrusion detection and prevention system, virus and malware scanning, and additional network monitoring are all working simultaneously behind the scenes to keep organizations’ data safe.
“SPIDAmin’s enhanced security and new One Touch Make Ready workflows are prime examples of our commitment to innovative software solutions aimed at helping organizations adapt and thrive in an ever-changing industry”, said Trent Quatman, Product Lead at SPIDA Software.
